Aura
Aura is a Prime Skill available to all members of the race of Elf. It describes the effects of the elven Aura.

Styles
The auras of High Elves and Dark Elves are distinctly different, although not because of their race (see Aura). Rather, differences in shared history and cultural attitudes have shaped the way these subraces harness their Aura.
High Elves have what is commonly called an "outward" aura, while Dark Elves have an "inward" aura. This does not accurately reflect the nature of the Aura, but the names have stuck, regardless.
Regardless of subrace, an Elf may choose either Wisdom or Charisma as the basis of her Aura skill; Wisdom is more common in general, though Charisma is more common among leaders, matrons, and the like.
Color
Auras are so named for their visual appearance to magically-sensitive eyes--those of elves, and of mages of any kind. Mana is known to ultimately be a single energy type, but any given mass of it might have a "flavor", represented in an Aura by color.
